Welcome to the Rotterdam International Pop Choir — a place where singing is joy, not judgment. Whether you’re new to singing or used to rocking a mic, this choir is for you. We sing pop and rock songs in harmony, move a little (but don’t panic — it’s not a dance crew), and rehearse in a warm, accepting space where your voice is welcome as it is.

 Create something unique like rearranging old folk songs wrap them into a modern sound and release them! So you hear yourself on Spotify!

What to expect

  • 🎶 Modern repertoire — from Nirvana and Billie Eilish to Queen and Imagine Dragons

  • 🙋‍♀️ No auditions, no need to read music — just your voice and enthusiasm

  • 📱 All parts are taught by ear + available in our app as recordings (also movement videos)

  • 💃 We learn basic staging and light movement with the help of a professional choreographer

  • 🎤 You can perform if you want to — no pressure if you don’t

Practical Info

📍 Location: Kruiskadehof 32, Rotterdam Centrum
🕒 Rehearsals: Monday evenings, 20:00–21:30
🌍 Language: English (with Dutch/Ukrainian when needed)

💸 Price: Monthly subscription — €45/month, acceptance fee on time is 15 eur

 

 

Frequently Asked Questions

I want to sing, but I’ve been told I can’t.
If you can speak — you can sing. Your voice may be untrained, but it’s still a voice. We’ll help you find it.

I don’t want to perform. Can I still join?
Yes! Participation in performances is always optional. Before each show we do a poll — only those who feel ready (or brave) step on stage.

I can’t read sheet music. Is that a problem?
Not at all. We learn all songs by ear and share recordings of each part via our app. Same goes for movement instructions — all demo videos are available.

I can’t dance. Will I survive?
You’re not alone. We don’t do choreography like dancers — we rehearse simple, stage-friendly movement, and we have a professional choreographer who makes it work for everyone.

I can’t come every week. Can I still join?
Yes — most people miss now and then. Just know that fees are monthly and fixed, and if you want to perform, it’s important to attend the final dress rehearsal before a show.
